Creating a Balanced Investment Strategy with Market-Linked CDs

Whether you’re a first-time investor, or looking to re-enter the market, it’s important to create an investment portfolio that works for you and your needs. Market-Linked CDs may be an appropriate solution for you.

A Market-Linked Certificate of Deposit is an FDIC-insured* certificate of deposit that is linked to the performance of one or more securities or market indexes. With Marked-Linked CDs, clients have the reassurance of FDIC-insured* principal, with the potential to earn greater returns than traditional CDs.

What Can a Market-Linked CD do for you?
Market-Linked CDs can be a good investment option for a variety of clients. From baby boomers and retirees, to those that are looking to re-enter the stock market, a Market-Linked CD may be the right solution for you.
  • Principal is 100% protected when held to maturity, regardless of market movements
  • Stock market linked earning potential with the security of FDIC Insurance*
  • May aid in the growth of your savings and provides potential to outpace rising costs and inflation
  • May serve a range of functions and provide diversification in an FDIC-insured, principal protected product*
  • IRA eligible
*Up to $250,000 per issuer, per depositor, per account ownership category when held to maturity.

Non-deposit investment products and services are offered through either CUSO Financial Services, L.P. (“CFS”) or Sorrento Pacific Financial, LLC (“SPF”), registered broker-dealers (Members FINRA/SIPC) and SEC Registered Investment Advisors.  Market-Linked Certificate of Deposit offerings through CFS and SPF: are only FDIC insured through the issuing bank, are not guarantees or obligations of the bank or credit union, and may involve investment risk including possible loss of principal if not held until maturity. Investment Representatives are registered through CFS or SPF. A financial institution has contracted with CFS or SPF to make non-deposit investment products and services available to members or clients.
