Several years ago, the Board of Directors decided they wanted to assist our members who choose to attend college or higher educational opportunities by granting scholarships in the name of Official Family members who have served in volunteer roles for more than 40 years.
Congratulations to 3 additional PSCU Board members that have joined the prestigious ranks of John Breen, Jonathan Gallimore and George Sciotti and reached that milestone.
Carol Palazzolo was first an employee of the then Wayne County Employees Credit Union in the early 1960s. When she went to work for the County she stayed in touch with the Credit Union by volunteering for the Credit Committee in 1968 until she became a Board member in 1970 where she still serves.
Bernard Hanus began 41 years ago, with the Supervisory Committee in 1971 until he became a Board Member in 1981 until present.
Nora Sharpley became a Credit Committee member in 1977 helping members achieve their goals until 1982 when she was appointed to the Supervisory Committee where she served for 10 years. Then in 1992, she became a member of the Board of Directors where she still serves.
Public Service Credit Union is so appreciative for their many years of service and honored to recognize these 3 individuals for their outstanding dedication, loyalty and commitment they have shown to PSCU over the years they have volunteered.
